Thanks for checking out the Hurricane section of our website. This part of our website is made possible through a joint venture of KBTV and the Beaumont Enterprise as well as our sponsors. Our goal is to give you all of the information you need to prepare and survive a hurricane event.
In this section, you will find a hurricane tracking map, a detailed evacuation map, a list of necessary hurricane survival items and a complete explanation of the Saffir-Simpson Scale which is used to categorize the severity of hurricanes. Additionally we have a computer program that you can download that will give you up to the minute tracking information on both current and past hurricanes.
As an additional step to keep you safe, KBTV and The Beaumont Enterprise have printed all of the information you find here on a handy hurricane guide.
